Battle Of The Bands (The White Hart)
Review By: Lee Hull on Sep 7th 2007

Hi to all:
Fans, Friends & Family.

Hi everyone we have been working very hard over the last few weeks because we want to
bring the band to life. We had a hard time playing at the white hart “The Battle of the Bands”
as we were all tired from performing else where plus long whole day band practices.
But we all went to the comp feeling determined and excited as we were battling against:

A Third Wish
Umbrella Assassins

It turned out that we played to an audience of two hundred that night
which was very nice for us.

Our songs went down a treat and before we knew it we had our songs being sung back to us.
We can’t honestly explain how good that makes us feel to hear people singing them back.
It makes us feel alive with love and it is such a powerful feeling but there’s so much more to it than that.
We arrived to our last song in the set and suddenly it was voting time,
we weren’t expecting it as we still had one song left in the set.

Anyway they called out the individual band names and announced the winners on the loudest crowd cheer.
When Solstice were called the pub roared with applause. So Solstice won “The Battle of the Bands”
but to be honest we weren’t thinking of wining we were just there for entertaining and playing music
which was enough for us.
But to win was amazing so with one song left, “Sometimes” we played it the best we ever had,
so with spirits and moods so high they could lift the roof off, we had the crowd jumping and
also singing back to us for the final song which again was incredible.

So thanks to everyone that came it meant a lot to us,
so we hope to see you all again soon.
As this is not he last time we will be performing in our home town.

Yours Truly

The Scarlet Pimp
Review By: Lee Hull on Aug 17th 2007

First of all thanks again to everyone that came
It was a Fantastic night for all.

Peter James started off the night with some of his own music
followed by a few covers which were very well performed.
The next Performance was by Dave Johnson who done a few covers.

Next up was Solstice (us) we performed very well with a few of our classics such as:
Hello, Take Me Home and He Shouts.
They all went down with the crowd a treat.
We had the Audience singing back to us,
We had them singing back to:
Take Me Home
Save Me Now
Sometimes

it was a emotional night for us to hear the crowd
singing back to us our own songs.

The playlist went as follows:

1) Intro (Wipe Out Cover)
2) Hello
3) Take Me Home
4) He Shouts
5) Under The Sun
6) Au Revoir (Acoustic) - Lee Hull
7) You're All I Want
8) Save Me Now
9) Something In The Way
10) Spies
11) Treat Me Mean, Keep Me Keen
12) Sometimes

The Night turned out a great show by all, also it was a nice site to see
new faces in the crowd and to get a response back from them saying
"A fantastic show will be back again!"
That was a comment that was very up lifting for all of us in the band.

Also thankyou to our fans who have believed in us from the start
our hearts are with you always.
So needless to say we ended on a high
All the comments we had back were great
thanks to everyone!

yours truly
